About
I'm Lisa, a Professional Certified Coach with a Master's Degree in Psychology. My life experiences have led me to help others live fully through practical, meaningful approaches to mental wellness. Part reflective, part action-oriented, these methods benefit my clients ranging from families to individuals experiencing significant life challenges.
My approach integrates highly effective practices from Japanese psychology, including Naikan and Morita Therapy, into more traditional coaching methods. Naikan is a practice of structured self-reflection that helps us see ourselves and the world around us as they truly are.
Many of us see life from our own point of view, giving us an incomplete, one-sided version of the story. Naikan helps us develop a complete picture, looking at ourselves, relationships, and experiences as though we were outside observers. In short, it helps us see reality more clearly.
Through Morita Therapy, clients are able to learn skills that help them take action despite challenges.
"Naikan broadens our view of reality. It's as if, standing on top of a mountain, we shift from a zoom lens to a wide-angle lens. Now we can appreciate the broader panorama; our former perspective is still included, but it is now accompanied by much that had been hidden. And what was hidden makes the view extraordinary."
-Gregg Krech (Naikan: Gratitude, Grace, and the Japanese Art of Self-Reflection)
